Antonia Massman

Undergraduate Project and Placement student

Antonia undertook her undergraduate degree as part of the first intake on the new BSc Neuroscience and Psychology program at KCL. She joined the Cooke lab initially for a summer internship, but then continued for her final year undergraduate project. For this, Antonia worked on the frequency composition of LFP recorded from mouse V1 and how that is influenced by stimulus familiarity/novelty and how different subclasses of neocortical inhibitory neuron may be identified by signatures within the frequency domain. She was then accepted onto the MRC Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders (CNDD) PhD program at KCL where Antonia has gone on to undertake her PhD project on imaging the developing brain of neonates in the laboratory of Professor Tom Arichi.
